Summary: We had a wonderful 2 weeks in Thierry’s and Anastasia’s home. They offered us a warm welcome and then took time to explain everything that we needed to know despite the fact that we arrived late due to a long journey. They were patient with our lack of French, and always contactable if required. This was our home for 2 weeks, and little homely touches made it feel even more special. The bedrooms were clean and spacious and the kitchen was well stocked with herbs and spices to help with creating meals.The lounge was comfortable and relatively cool in the evenings. I had some work to do and whilst not super fast, the WiFi was reliable and I could work at the upstairs desk uninterrupted. The Outside terrace and pool area was where we spent the most time, eating, drinking, playing games and of course swimming. It really could not have been any better. It was quite hot at night and a bedroom fan might have been a welcome addition but that is only a minor issue. The local amenities are everything you could want, with the short drive to St Zacharie providing supermarkets, bars and restaurants (the kids particularly liked the bikers bar-which served awesome burgers). The village (walkable) also had smaller shops and a bar and restaurant as well as a brilliant pizza van over the weekends. A restful, peaceful and idyllic two weeks passed far too quickly and we all had a wonderful stay-thanks to Thierry and Anastasia for allowing us to stay in their beautiful home.
